Now an affordable solution for dropped calls and no signal problems in your home. The CAE50 packages are easy to install and will increase your signal strength 1000% up to 3000 square feet.
At the heart of this repeater is a 50 dB gain bi-directional amplifier increasing the signal strength. We supply an external aerial (Yagi and Panel). The aerial comes with 33' of low loss cable complete with the connectors already attached. You install the aerial outside on the wall or on a roof edge. Run the supplied 10m special low loss cabling to the inside of the home, ceiling or attic and mount the amplifier at a central location. The amplifier installs vertically with the hardware supplied. It has 2 indicators, one for ‘Power On’ and one for ‘Fail’. The 'Fail' light comes on if the exterior aerial and the interior antennas are too close to each other, in which case feedback will occur (easy to adjust by moving the antennas or unit).

There is an interior panel aerial provided that attaches to the amplifier for the indoor coverage. Power up the amplifier using the supplied 5V power adapter. For low signal areas, you can purchase the optional Higher Gain Yagi aerial. See the results instantly on your mobile phone!
NOTE:The system can handle 10 simultaneous calls. Also, our estimated signal strength outside your home at roof level must be 3 bars or greater on your mobile phone (-75dBm). Please contact us if you are in any doubt which system is for you or if you require any other information.

Can I have both Nextel and PCS systems in my building on the same system?
Yes with limitations. You can have the following combinations easily by combining both together but you should contact us first before attempting it:
Other combinations can be used, but require some engineering. Please contact us.
Do I need to be able to see the Cellular Tower to use the Building Repeater?
There is no need to see the tower, only to have a sufficient signal outside the building. The External antenna, either a Yagi or Panel, can be rotated until the signal strength inside the building is maximized. In the case of multiple providers with different towers, you can upgrade the external antenna to an omni-directional one in which case no rotating is needed. Call us if there is any questions.
Do I need to know where the cell tower is to point the exterior Yagi Antenna?
There is no need to know this information. All you have to do is slowly rotate the Yagi (or Panel) antenna until the signal on the inside of the building comes up to a maximum. The direction that the antenna points in is the direction of the tower.
Do I need to connect my cell phone directly to the repeater?
No. The system is completely wireless.
On the SMR (Nextel) Repeater, can I use the Walkie Talkie portion of the Cell Phone?
Yes. The building repeater is designed to work the entire frequency band. The Walkie Talkie frequencies fall within that range.
I can make a call outside my home, but can't inside. Will the CAE-500 help?
Our building repeater systems are designed especially for this situation.
I use the T-Mobile Air Card on GSM. Which CAE-500 package should I get?
The CAE-500PCS works with all PCS GSM services including T-Mobile, Sprint services. It works with GPRS and 1XRTT data units including the Air Card.
Typical Installation Instructions
